We are pleased to announce that technology group Wärtsilä is acquiring Trident. Wärtsilä and Trident have been cooperating over 20 years and this acquisition is a natural extension to our strategic alliance. With this acquisition Trident is completing Wärtsilä´s current service offering by providing underwater services globally. “We are very excited to join Wärtsilä and looking forward to capturing opportunities in Wärtsilä´s global service network” says Managing Director Adrie Huijbregts. “Serving our customers will continue to be the priority throughout the transition and after the change of ownership. The same Trident people will continue to take care of the customer relationship but in the future we are supported by Wärtsilä capabilities and offering” he continues. A good example of the existing cooperation between Trident and Wärtsilä is a thruster preservation bag developed as a result of joint technology project. The acquisition is estimated to be closed in January 2018.
